Ms. Anju Abrol
Independent and Non-Executive Director
Ms. Anju Abrol is a seasoned banker with over 30 years of global banking experience, including more than a decade in C-suite leadership roles across Asia Pacific, the United States and Australia. Her career spans corporate and investment banking, debt capital markets, commercial banking and retail banking, with senior leadership roles at ING, Bank of America, Westpac and Deutsche Bank.
She served as Asia Pacific CEO of ING Bank, with responsibility for the bank’s performance across 11 markets in the region. She has extensive experience in strategy, business development, governance, regulatory compliance and risk management. Previously, she was Chief Risk Officer at Westpac for its global wholesale banking business and Senior Risk Executive at Bank of America, covering 14 countries across Asia Pacific.
During her 16-year tenure at Bank of America, she was extensively involved in M&A and leveraged finance transactions in New York and played a strategic role during the Global Financial Crisis. At Deutsche Bank, she held leadership responsibilities in building and growing the corporate banking business.
She has served on several boards and advisory bodies, including as Director of EuroCham Singapore and ING Australia, Advisory Board Member of Shoolini University, India, and Council Member of the Association of Banks in Singapore.
She holds an MBA from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Chemistry from St Stephen’s College, Delhi, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
