Business Overview

As artificial intelligence adoption accelerates across industries, the role of digital infrastructure is undergoing a fundamental shift. Rising compute intensity, higher power densities, and compressed deployment timelines are redefining how data centers are planned, built, and operated.

Founded in 2021 as a joint venture between AEL and EdgeConneX, AdaniConneX has steadily built capabilities and scale in line with the evolving requirements of cloud and AI-driven digital infrastructure. AdaniConneX's ambition is to develop a 2 GW renewable-powered data center footprint by 2030, aligned with India’s AI-led digital growth. AdaniConneX combines the infrastructure depth and integrated energy capabilities of the Adani Group with the global data center development and operations expertise of EdgeConneX, which has built and operated 80+ data centers across 60+ markets. This partnership provides a strong foundation for designing and delivering complex data center campuses that meet global standards in engineering, operations, and sustainability.

Over the past few years, AdaniConneX has progressed from initial development to operational delivery across multiple regions in India, evolving into one of the country’s fastest-scaling data center platforms. This growth has occurred amid accelerated deployment cycles and the emergence of high-density AI workloads, which demand greater execution discipline, energy reliability, and speed to market. In response, AdaniConneX offers Build-to-Suit (BTS) and Energy-as-a-Solution (EaaS) models to address customer-specific requirements and enable scalable infrastructure aligned with the evolving AI landscape. This approach is underpinned by a strong focus on safety, quality, project execution, resilience, and sustainability.

At scale, digital infrastructure is defined by energy. AdaniConneX’s Energy-as-a-Solution (EaaS) model is differentiated by its ability to integrate energy planning into the data center lifecycle. Leveraging the extensive energy infrastructure capabilities of the Adani Group, AdaniConneX incorporates power sourcing, approvals, infrastructure development, operations, and real-time monitoring as a unified framework. This integrated approach allows energy to be planned alongside site selection, campus design, and capacity phasing, reducing execution risk and improving predictability for large, long-duration deployments. Complementing this, AdaniConneX offers a suite of managed services covering day-to-day data center operations, monitoring, and infrastructure management allowing customers to focus on core business priorities while reducing operational complexity.

As India’s digital economy continues to scale, driven by cloud adoption, AI deployment, and increasing enterprise digitisation, the availability of reliable, well-operated data center infrastructure has become imperative. AdaniConneX’s infrastructure portfolio has been developed to support this demand, combining scale, geographic diversity, and operational discipline.

As of today, AdaniConneX operates 55+ MW of live data center capacity across multiple locations in India. This operational footprint reflects the transition from development to delivery, with assets designed to support large, long-duration workloads for enterprises, global technology providers, and hyperscalers.

Operational performance across the portfolio is benchmarked against global data center standards, with a strong focus on availability, resilience, and consistency of service delivery. All live sites have maintained 100% availability, reflecting disciplined operations, robust design, and mature operating processes across facilities.

‘Chennai 1’: AdaniConneX’s Flagship Colocation Facility in Chennai + Managed Services

Strategically located within the SIPCOT IT Park in Siruseri, a rising digital hub, AdaniConneX’s state-of-the-art Chennai 1 facility Phase 1 is live with a capacity of 17 MW IT Load that will scale up to 33 MW (IT Load) at full capacity. The ‘Chennai 1’ campus hosts Tamil Nadu’s first certified IGBC Platinum Rated data center and has been recognised for excellence across multiple platforms. The facility is powered with renewable energy, offering enterprises and hyperscale customers sustainable energy choices.
