At Adani Defence & Aerospace, our focus is on building strategic capabilities across the full spectrum of national requirements. In aerospace, we are creating an integrated ecosystem, spanning helicopters, regional transport aircraft, advanced airborne platforms, comprehensive MRO and largest pilot training and simulator ecosystem, designed to support both defence and civil aviation needs. In defence, we are strengthening India’s self-reliance across ammunition, guided weapons, missiles, unmanned and autonomous systems, sensors and airborne early warning and mission systems.

Our strategy is anchored in indigenous design, scalable manufacturing and selective global partnerships that enable deep technology transfer and long-term capability creation. By integrating digital engineering, advanced manufacturing and sustainment within India, we are building systems that are reliable, deployable and ready for sustained operations.

Business Overview

Adani Defence & Aerospace is a leading player in defence design, development and manufacturing. Our portfolio includes small arms, ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), counter-drone systems, missiles, and aircraft services, supported by AI/ML driven digital technologies, such as Swa-Rakshak™, enhancing efficiency and security capabilities. Aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, we have collaborated with Indian startups and MSMEs to establish a self-reliant, export-oriented defence ecosystem with best-in-class processes and quality management systems.

Over the years, Adani Defence & Aerospace has achieved several industry-first milestones for a private-sector Company in India, establishing robust infrastructure, securing marquee contracts, and expanding capabilities across multiple defence and aerospace segments.

Adani Defence & Aerospace operates three facilities across Kanpur, Gwalior, and Hyderabad. The Kanpur facility, spread over 500 acres, is being developed as South Asia’s largest integrated ammunition manufacturing complex, producing small, medium, and large-calibre ammunition for the armed forces, paramilitary forces, police, and export markets. The Hyderabad Aerospace Park houses India’s first private-sector final assembly line for military-grade unmanned systems and a private-sector Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) complex. The Gwalior facility manufactures a wide range of small arms for domestic and international markets.

To strengthen innovation and technology development, Adani Defence & Aerospace has established a state-of-the-art R&D centre in Delhi, focussed on artillery systems, unmanned platforms, and missile technologies. Our acquisitions of Air Works and Indamer Technics expanded capabilities in Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, while the acquisition of Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC), India’s largest independent flight training and simulation provider, enables Adani Defence & Aerospace to offer end-to-end solutions across civil aviation, general aviation, defence MRO, and flight training.

  • Adani Defence & Aerospace delivered 2,000 Made-in-India Prahar Light Machine Guns (LMGs) to the Indian Armed Forces, 11 months ahead of schedule
  • Our platforms – Arka MANPADS, Skystriker & Agnikaa Loitering Munitions, Drishti 10 UAV were successfully deployed in ‘Operation Sindoor’
  • Established country’s largest private sector aviation services platform with services spanning from MRO to simulation to flight training through acquisition of Air Works, Indamer Technics and FSTC
