To be a world‑class leader in the water sector, enabling sustainable nation‑building through the development of critical water infrastructure.
To deliver sustainable, high‑quality water infrastructure through excellence in execution and integrated project delivery.
Adani Water Limited (AWL), a subsidiary of AEL, is a core infrastructure division, focussed on the development of large-scale water, wastewater, desalination, irrigation and canal projects across India, supporting long-term water sustainability. The business collaborates with leading government and statutory bodies, including the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Water Resources Departments (WRDs), PHED, and other central and state authorities, to deliver world‑class, sustainable water and wastewater solutions.
AEL entered this business in 2018 and has since emerged as a leading player in India’s water infrastructure development. AWL is executing several wastewater treatment projects through HAM and EPC models:
With a cumulative order book of approximately ₹ 11,000 crore, driven by its integrated capabilities, execution excellence, and strong focus on quality and safety, AWL continues to contribute to nation‑building through the development of critical water infrastructure.
With a diversified portfolio encompassing wastewater treatment, irrigation infrastructure, bulk water supply, and desalination plants, AWL addresses India’s evolving water challenges through sustainable, large-scale infrastructure solutions.
Leveraging the Group’s established infrastructure presence across multiple states, AWL capitalises on its strong local execution capabilities and project management expertise to create synergies across water and wastewater infrastructure development. AWL also pursues selective inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions, focussing on assets with predictable cash flows and attractive valuations to enhance portfolio strength and long-term value. In addition, AWL is exploring opportunities in the desalination segment, including projects for the treatment of seawater and brackish water to produce potable water for domestic and industrial use.
Our work in infrastructure development spans both essential road networks and critical water rejuvenation efforts, such as projects focussed on revitalising the sacred Ganga River. At Adani RMRW, water infrastructure is a critical pillar of our sustainability agenda. Through river rejuvenation initiatives such as the Ganga projects, responsible resource management, and resilient water assets, we aim to protect natural resources while delivering long-term value to communities and the nation.
