PVC

Innovating the Petrochemical Future

Mundra Petrochemicals Limited (MPL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited’s PVC wing, is developing an integrated 1 MMT per annum PVC plant at Mundra, Gujarat.

The project addresses a persistent gap in India's PVC market. In FY25-26, demand reached ~4.55 MMT against a domestic capacity of just 1.6 MMT, with imports of ~3 MMT filling the shortfall. Driven by agriculture, construction, and infrastructure, demand is set to keep outpacing supply, leaving a projected gap of ~3 MMT per annum by 2030 even after planned capacity additions.

By bringing significant new capacity onstream, MPL aims to serve this under-supplied market and reduce India's reliance on imports.
