Mining and MDO

India’s mining sector plays a crucial role in powering national growth and enabling energy security. As this industry advances towards sustainable and technology-led practices, Adani Mining is ready and stands at the forefront of this transformation.

Pioneering India’s Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) model, Adani has redefined large-scale mining by combining efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

With seven coal blocks under various stages of development, the business leverages automation, data intelligence, and precision-led operations to deliver reliable, sustainable mining solutions. Every initiative is driven by a single purpose to strengthen India’s energy foundation and fuel its journey towards self-reliance.

Adani Mining Across India

As one of India’s leading MDO partners, Adani Enterprises combines efficiency, scale, and sustainability to deliver integrated mining solutions across key coal blocks.

KEY INITIATIVES

Our Commitment to Communities

Distribution of 16,000 saplings in peripheral areas. Plantation of ~2,000 saplings along the conveyor corridor under green initiatives at Kurmitar mine.

Desilting of ~200 m³ from settling tanks for improved sediment control at Taldih mine.

Successful transplantation of ~190 trees to minimise ecological impact at Taldih mine.

Dedicated used oil storage facility (~100 barrels capacity) for safe handling at Kurmitar mine.

Defining India’s Mining Progress

At the heart of Adani Mining’s India operations lies a strategy aligned with national priorities, expanding capabilities to position the company among the world’s leading mining groups.

Commissioned a 15 MTPA coal handling plant and a 10 MTPA washery, strengthening operational capacity and efficiency.

Pioneered India’s Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) model in 2009, setting a benchmark for integrated mining excellence.
